Colors I don’t use…..

Standard

Hey there blogging friends!!!   I did some retail therapy in Saskatoon (a city about an hour away), armed with my 40% off coupon from Michaels and a good friend and we hit the city running!!  My feet are still screaming at me…..we put some miles on!!  Had a blast and got a few things and I feel much better now!!!  lol.

My friend Lynn over on SCS is hosting our Mix It Up Challenge this week.  She’s challenged us to make a card with a color we haven’t used in the last 2 months.  Well I chose two colors I don’t normally use and made this little number.  Get you sunglasses out…..it’s a bright one!!  I don’t often use the bright colors…..I’m more of a muted earth tone girl or soft colors.

I used my fancy tags die cut and then used the negative image as well on the card……no wasting here!  This card took me out of my usual color comfort zone and really really made me think as I was putting it together.  I had to add the bling though…..no card is complete without it….right?!

I hope to spend some time getting inky again tomorrow…..I still have my B card to make for the alphabet challenge and my I spy card…..

Huggsss,  Yvonne  😉

About mycraftingtherapyroom

My name is Yvonne Gebauer and I'm a cardmaker and have just entered the amazing world of Mixed Media and am LOVING it!. I'm a wife, a mother to two grown boys, and a grandmother to 5 amazingly beautiful grandchildren which I have to say is really all it's cracked up to be and more. I work full time and am really starting to think that work is getting in the way of life!! I have a large crafting room and I'm my happiest when I have a group of friends get together in this room and just have a blast. Every once in a while we actually create something! Or, when I get a chance to have one of my grandchildren over to just let them play and create what they want with what I have in my stash.....which is allot. My craft room is my therapy room of sorts. My place to go and just be......
