Monochromatic challenge

Monochromatic challenge

For this month’s challenge over on Limor Webber’s Facebook group, she’s challenged us to create a monochromatic project.   I’ve made monochromatic cards before….never a journal page.  I decided to use my teal Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays in Time Travel Teal, Shabby Turbine Teal and Jack in the Pulpit Teal. and see what I could come up with. I used a few of my stencils and just started layering sprays and stencils – cut out some hearts from book paper , colored some ModPodge and texture paste with my Magicals and had a blast!

Here’s a couple of close-ups of the texture I added to the hearts with some micro seed beads adhered with ModPodge.  I also added butterflies created by adding some of the  Time Travel Teal Magicals to the texture paste and for the honeycomb stencil added some Time Travel Teal Magicals to ModPodge.  the drippage at the top of the page and the outlines around the hearts were also created using the magicals in the two colors and adding it to some water sprayed onto my craft mat.  The drippage from the top of the page really picked up on the silver shimmer in the magicals.

It’s very difficult to capture the actual color of these sprays in a picture and it driver me crazy!!!  Anyway, I’m off to go and post this to the FB page.  Thanks once again for stopping by for a visit.  Always appreciated.

About mycraftingtherapyroom

My name is Yvonne Gebauer and I'm a cardmaker and have just entered the amazing world of Mixed Media and am LOVING it!. I'm a wife, a mother to two grown boys, and a grandmother to 5 amazingly beautiful grandchildren which I have to say is really all it's cracked up to be and more. I work full time and am really starting to think that work is getting in the way of life!! I have a large crafting room and I'm my happiest when I have a group of friends get together in this room and just have a blast. Every once in a while we actually create something! Or, when I get a chance to have one of my grandchildren over to just let them play and create what they want with what I have in my stash.....which is allot. My craft room is my therapy room of sorts. My place to go and just be......
