Who You Are…

I’ve had a busy week of I’m not sure what!!!  I haven’t been down in my studio since last week and I’m here to play along with Sandee over on the Frosted Designs Facebook group again for her weekly Sunday with Sandee.  This week she was mixing sprays to make more of a pastel color using a white linen spray and some ordinary colored sprays.  I didn’t have a completely white spray so I decided to use some white acrylic paint and a few of my Tim Holtz Distress Ink refills.  I used Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean and Picked Raspberry.  For the main sprays on the page I used some of my trusted Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays of Luscious Lime, Hibiscus Rose, Caribbean Blue, Mango Mania and Pineapple Paradise.  I started by spraying the top corner with some of the Mango Mania and Pineapple Paradise, letting it run together a bit and then heat setting it.  I took a small round lid from a spray can and covered up a portion of that area to use as the sun for my final project.  I then alternately sprayed with my other Lindy’s sprays and the mixed ones I did all over the page and used one of my homemade stencils of the honeycomb.  I heat set between coats and added some of the Pineapple Paradise from time to time to fill in and help to blend the colors.  Once all my spraying was done I lifted the cap I’d put down and Ta Daaaa……a sun!!  I took my molding paste and a cloud stencil my Mom found for me at her local Dollar Store and made some clouds over the sun and sky and I didn’t have a leaf stencil so I took a piece of plastic packing I’d saved and actually cut out a leaf design to use as a stencil.  I lightly sketched a branch out in pencil and added the stenciled leaves to the page.  I used my Gun Metal Liquid Pearls and filled in the branch and outlined the leaves.  I cut some white butterflies out from a piece of patterned paper and added some color using my water brush and my Lindy’s Caribbean Blue and Hibiscus Rose.  Added some doodles (dangles) and the quote!

I found the quote while surfing the internet the other evening and can’t remember where I found it.  The lettering I hand wrote.  I added some Goosebumps for some texture to the butterflies.

And that’s it!! Have a most wonderful day and thank you ever so much for taking the time to stop in.

Hey there my little blogging friends!  I’m poopered I tell you.  Why do I always decide to do such detailed cards for a swap when I need to make 6 of the little buggers?!  But, I do really like this card, so I won’t complain too much.  This is for a shaped card swap.  Again, I played with my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.

Aren’t these rolled roses just gorgeous!!!  I cut them out at 2 1/2″ and 2″.  For this card I used a pearl drop, for the rest of the cards I decided to use my Bisque Liquid Pearls and they turned out very nice.  I used the CTMH Olivia Level 2 Paper Packet for this card and a piece of chocolate cardstock.  Again, everything on the card was cut out using my cricut cartridge.  I love the addition of the Taggeta Seam Binding.  I hit the jackpot at our local second hand Good Neighbour store one day and found a bunch of lace, seam binding and buttons!!

I really need to make myself a photo box so I can get a better picture with better color.  I used the Smoothie cardstock for the roses and a piece of the B & T Duos for the green matt on the big centre tag and for the leaves for the roses.  I stamped my swirly frame and sentiment in the CTMH Chocolate ink.  The swirly frame is from My Miind’s EyeLost & Found set and the sentiment is from a set I’ve had forever and honestly don’t know where I got it from or who it’s made by.  I used my Bisque Liquid Pearls for the little dots of embellishments on the card.  I’m really starting to like my Liquid Pearls cause I can control how big or small the pearl ends up being……very versatile product!!

So there you have it……my day of crafting.  I’m so tired right now I think I’ll likely be sleeping before I even hit the pillow…..and yes Mom, I know I should have been in bed earlier……lol.

With that, I’m signing out of here.  Another week of work coming up…….oh yay!!  lol.  Chao ladies and thanks so much for stopping by!!
